A Guide to Document Management

About this Guide

Since we produced our first publication in 1970 we have combined independent advice with comprehensive details of relevant products and services available in the UK  to create accurate and unbiased Guides to many aspects of document management.

This on-line Guide represents the first stage in the construction of a major UK reference source for those engaged in planning or implementing document management systems and students seeking an unbiased introduction to the subject.  It is a non-commercial enterprise and will not contain any advertising content. All costs of maintenance and improvement will be covered by G G Baker & Associates and access will be free to all.

Submissions are warmly welcomed from users and suppliers in the form of new input or suggested amendments to current content. It is impossible for us to pay for contributions - they will be published with or without acknowledgement as desired.

The standards and publications relating to document management are covered in a separate chapter. We would also appreciate any suggestions for improvements to that section.

We  will gladly add extra chapters or sub-divide existing sections to improve this basic Guide. Links to external appropriate free reference sources will be included on request so long as they are impartial and add to the value of the project.

Submissions or comment should be sent to gerald@ggbaker.co.uk  or by post to our UK or Spanish addresses.
